The Triple A (also known as AAA) program is for players who are League Age 9 and 10 (typically, 3rd and 4th graders). This is the introductory level of competitive play in Mill Valley Little League. Most players should have played in the Farm division the prior year. Players pitch and Little League rules are followed with a few modifications. Umpires call balls/strikes, and scores and team standings are kept. Players should be able to catch, throw, and field regulation baseballs. A skills tryout is required. Players are drafted by managers and coaches to teams based on tryouts and player evaluations from prior season(s). There are no “drop-downs'' at this level - all players who try out will be assigned to a team, unless it is determined for the sake of player safety that the player would have a better experience at a different level. Teams are eligible for post-season tournaments. Players may be selected for All-Stars based on their ages.
