The Star program is for players who are League Age 7 (typically1st graders).  We continue focusing on fundamentals and basic rules of baseball with a soft baseball.  Coaches handle the pitching and catching, and now, defensive outs count.  Players participate in one practice and one game each week.  We use a continuous batting order, and all players play in the field.  We do not keep score.  We've achieved Star League objectives if the players have a great time and want to play baseball again in 2nd grade!  Contact Star Commissioner Kevin Kneafsey at [email protected] with any questions about Star League.
