MVLL Livestreaming Policy
Approved by MVLL Board on December 11, 2024
Live Streaming:
Mill Valley Little League uses Gamecast to live stream games at Alto, Boyle Majors, and Boyle Minors.
Live Streaming benefits families and relatives who can't always make it to Boyle or Alto but want to follow games.
Live Streaming benefits managers and coaches who can review gameplay and help improve players’ skills.
Live Streaming benefits umpires who can review game calling and help improve umpiring skills.
Live Streaming benefits players who want to remember a favorite moment from the season.
Policies:
We follow Little League International’s Best Practices for Live Streaming.
MVLL has a standard media release which is part of our registration process. Any parent/legal guardian has the right to refuse consent to live stream any game for any reason. The safety and protection of our players is our top priority.
With regard to resolving disputes, Livestream replays cannot be used at any time during a game. After a game, replays from Livestream may only be used by the Protest Committee to adjudicate formal Rule 4.19 Protests (specifically, violations or interpretations of a playing rule, the use of an ineligible pitcher, or the use of an ineligible player).
MVLL reserves the right to remove replay video from public access at any time for any reason.
Details:
Links to the live stream at each field are located at www.millvalleyll.org. There is no cost to the user to view a live streamed MVLL game. The cameras are mounted up high behind home plate giving a wide view of the field. The cameras also have microphones which pick up field and crowd conversations. As always, we remind everyone to remain respectful and mindful of our adult conversations at games.
