In recent years, Mill Valley Little League has been receiving a growing percentage of our funding from Bay Area companies that participate in a volunteer-matching program called Benevity. 

Benevity (https://benevity.com/)is an online platform that shepherds matching grants to designated non-profits based on the number of hours that an employee spends volunteering. Many local employers participate in Benevity, especially those in tech and finance, offering payments of as much as $25/hour.

Some of our coaches and board members add thousands of dollars per year to MVLL coffers by taking a few minutes every month to log volunteer hours. This money goes a long way toward tending fields, paying teenage umpires, keeping registration fees low, and subsidizing scholarships and software subscriptions. 

We encourage you to check with your HR department or company intranet to see if your employer participates in Benevity (or a similar volunteer-matching program).
